Part-time Research Assistant

[Appointment period: twelve months]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects – “Ecological HCI: Toward a nature-centered future for interaction design” and “Dynamic illuminated reinterpretation of traditional Chinese silk embroidery motifs”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in conducting literature reviews and project-related research;
(b) support the design and development of interactive prototypes and research materials;
(c) assist in organising workshops, user studies and other research activities;
(d) collect and analyse research data;
(e) assist in preparing project documentation, reports and publications; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or above in a relevant discipline;
(b) relevant experience or strong interest in design research, prototyping or user studies;
(c) a good command of written and spoken English;
(d) good communication and teamwork skills; and
(e) the ability to work independently and meet project schedules.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
