Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Clinical and molecular evaluation of HWBIO® MeiboRevive™ vectored thermal pulsation system in dry eye disease”. They will be required to:
(a) perform clinical measurements of refraction and anterior eye examination;
(b) perform dry eye evaluation and assessments;
(c) perform tear sample collection for omics study;
(d) perform mass spectrometry and bioinformatics analysis;
(e) conduct research data analysis and prepare manuscripts/reports; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Research Fellow post should have a doctoral degree plus at least three years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent qualifications and experience.
Applicants for the Postdoctoral Fellow post should have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Applicants for the Research Associate post should have a master’s degree in Optometry or Ophthalmology or a good honours degree with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
Applicants for the Research Assistant post should have an honours degree in the above-mentioned disciplines or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants should also have:
(a) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese or Putonghua; and
(b) good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Preference will be given to those with relevant research experience and publications of the study.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$394 per hour for the post of Research Fellow, HK$385 per hour for the post of Postdoctoral Fellow, HK$181 per hour for the post of Research Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Research Assistant.
