Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Multimodal visual route following for UAV precision repeat-pass surveying”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct research on multimodal visual perception and route-following for UAV repeat-pass surveying;
(b) develop and deploy vision / AI algorithms, including implementation on embedded platforms;
(c) carry out data collection, flight experiments and analysis; and
(d) assist in preparing publications and project reports.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics or a related discipline;
(b) hands-on experience in embedded systems, computer vision or AI model development; and
(c) a good command of written and spoken English.
