Part-time Research Assistant (two posts)

[Appointment period: each for three to six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “AI-augmented tool to foster emotional awareness in children’s collaborative learning”. They will be required to:
(a) conduct co-design workshops, interviews and surveys;
(b) assist in collecting data, preparing reports and preliminary analysis;
(c) support programming, technical development and prototyping of emotion-aware learning tools; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree in Interaction Design, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or an equivalent qualification;
(b) experience in participatory design and user experience research;
(c) hands-on development and experimentation with solid programming skills, e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, etc.;
(d) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese with fluency in Cantonese; and
(e) the ability to work independently and meet the work schedule.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
