Assistant Manager

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) formulate and implement the Faculty’s strategic marketing plan, write/prepare marketing collaterals, and undertake relevant initiatives, especially with respect to online marketing tactics and campaigns;
(b) manage and update the Faculty’s digital/social media platforms;
(c) conduct market research, monitor and carry out online traffic analysis, identify new channels, and evaluate the effectiveness of individual channels;
(d) prepare budget and monitor the budget execution for marketing and advertising/media plans;
(e) work closely with academic units of the Faculty on marketing and promotional initiatives and coordinate with internal and external parties on events, marketing, and branding issues;
(f) provide support in meetings, forums, ceremonies, visits, and events; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty or his delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and/or outside Hong Kong, China occasionally.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree and preferably a higher degree in Business, Communications, or related disciplines;
(b) at least five years of administrative and supervisory experience preferably gained in the higher education sector, with experience in digital/social media marketing, multimedia presentation, and event management being a definite advantage;
(c) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua is required;
(d) excellent computer literacy, and preferably be familiar with technologies;
(e) excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills plus strong planning and organising abilities; and
(f) strong problem-solving and leadership skills as well as the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Preference will be given to those with solid knowledge of the tertiary education sector in Hong Kong, China and the Chinese Mainland.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
