Part-time Research Assistant (one to two posts)

[Appointment period: each for six to nine months]
Duties
The appointee(s) will assist the project leader in the research project - “Interdisciplinary development of a self-powered smart textile sensing platform for elderly care: From multilayer nanofiber yarn technology to adoption-oriented translation”, and will be required to:
(a) assist in developing electrospun composite fibers/yarns;
(b) assist in analysing and characterising the performance of fiber-based devices; and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Dean of School or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree;
(b) research experience in polymer science, flexible electronics, electrical engineering, sports science or rehabilitation science; and
(c) good communication and experimental skills.
Preference will be given to those who have a master’s degree and/or a publication record covering electrospinning and flexible electronics.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
