Senior Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee administrative support for all matters related to academic programmes and exercises at the taught postgraduate level;
(b) support the planning, coordination and implementation of various teaching and learning activities;
(c) formulate strategies and plans to promote academic programmes at the taught postgraduate level;
(d) compile statistical and academic programme reports for curriculum and resource planning;
(e) supervise junior staff members in the programme team;
(f) provide secretarial and administrative support to departmental committees and meetings;
(g) liaise and coordinate with different units of the University, students, alumni and external organisations; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree, with at least five years of solid and relevant programme-related administrative experience at a supervisory level, preferably gained in tertiary education sector;
(b) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) strong organisational and analytical abilities, with a high level of problem-solving skills;
(d) excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
(e) self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to multitask effectively; and
(f) qualities and charisma of a team leader as well as a good team player.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
