Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “Design travel live streaming (TLS) as a psychosocio-technical system to promote pro-environmental behaviors”.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a doctoral degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Sustainability Science, Management, or a closely related field, or an equivalent qualification in the abovementioned disciplines. Candidates with overseas joint-training or study-abroad experience, and the ability to adapt quickly to the academic and research environment of Hong Kong universities, are preferred;
(b) have demonstrated research expertise in pro-environmental / low-carbon behavior, behavioral spillover effects, tourist consumer behavior, digital technology applications (e.g., live streaming, multimodal UGC), and tourist experiences. A strong publication record with at least 1-2 papers published or accepted in SSCI QI or ABS 3-star/4-star journals (e.g., Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research) is required;
(c) be proficient in quantitative research methods, including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), multi-level regression, and mediation/moderation analysis. Hands-on experience with SPSS, Mplus, R, Python, and NVivo is essential. Experience in questionnaire design, psychological experiments, and multimodal data analysis (text/image/video) is a distinct advantage; and
(d) have proven experience in leading or actively participating in research grant/funded projects. Excellent English academic writing and presentation skills are required. Candidates with experience delivering oral presentations at international conferences (e.g., CAUTHE, MTCON, UTSG) are strongly preferred.
