Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Migraine features and silent brain infarction in predicting stroke risk progression: A cohort study with neuroimaging analysis in Hong Kong Chinese women”. He/She will be required to:
(a) liaise with research collaborators (e.g., non-governmental organisations and clinics) regarding the development, implementation and evaluation of the research project;
(b) coordinate logistics issues for the project implementation, including workshops, interviews, questionnaire collection, etc.;
(c) assist in the recruitment of participants, data collection and data entry;
(d) assist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Transcranial Doppler (TCD) scanning and safety monitoring; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Nursing, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, Medical Imaging, Radiology, Epidemiology or Psychology or an equivalent qualification;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;
(c) be familiar with R, SPSS, EndNote and other Microsoft Office software;
(d) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(e) be responsible and able to work independently with a strong sense of self-motivation.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
