Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Research Centre for SHARP Vision”. He/She will be required to:
(a) coordinate events and conferences for the Asia-Pacific Clinical Research Consortium in Ophthalmology;
(b) oversee day-to-day clinical trial operations across multiple research sites, ensuring strict adherence to study protocols, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements specific to ophthalmic and optometric research;
(c) act as the primary point of contact between trial sponsors, Principal Investigators (PIs), and regional site coordinators;
(d) conduct site initiation, interim monitoring, and close-out visits to ensure standardised workflows across all locations; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research Centre or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a doctoral degree in Optometry or an equivalent qualification plus at least six years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent qualifications and experience;
(b) strong communication and interpersonal skills;
(c) strong self-motivation, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously; and
(d) a proactive working attitude with the ability to work effectively both as a team player and independently under tight timelines.
