Assistant Officer

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    coordinate and provide administrative as well as logistic support for managing communal facilities;

(b)    assist in planning, coordinating and implementing activities for enhancing students’ holistic development; 

(c)    assist in preparing user requirements for developing a system to manage bookings; 

(d)    communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;

(e)    compile statistics and conduct service evaluations;

(f)     prepare reports, write memos and answer enquires of students and colleagues; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours occasionally. 

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least three years of post-qualification work experience;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(c)    possess resilience, strong interpersonal and communication skills;

(d)    have a high level of self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently; and

(e)    have good computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
