Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support for managing student related activities and academic programmes related to scholarships, Work Integrated Education, career placement, study tours, the mentorship programme, donation and alumni events / activities, etc.;
(b) liaise with academic units, central administrative units, stakeholders, alumni and students in handling programme / department related matters and organising student learning activities and departmental events;
(c) plan, co-ordinate and implement marketing and promotional activities, such as seminars, conferences, ceremonies and information days, etc.;
(d) prepare various Department’s publications, including newsletters and programme brochures, etc. and assist in website maintenance;
(e) provide secretarial support to committees and working groups; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree and at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience with a good track record in programme administration in tertiary institutions or similar organisations;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) good problem solving skills and computer literacy, including Chinese word processing, PowerPoint and Excel;
(d) the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines; and
(e) good analytical, organisational, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently within a team.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
