Executive Officer (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide one-stop support services to non-local students;

(b) formulate, coordinate and implement activities and events to facilitate non­local students for better adaptation to university life; 

(c) provide advice and appropriate assistance to non-local students; 

(d) provide support to events / functions organised by the Residential Education and Non-Local Student Services Team; 

(e) provide administrative support to office operation;

(f) provide secretarial service to committees / meetings;

(g) draft and compile documents, reports and replies to enquiries as well as complaints whenever necessary;

(h) coordinate and maintain an e-filing system with proper documentation; 

(i) liaise with internal departments and external organisations;

(j) supervise junior staff when necessary; and

(k) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions; 

(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) be a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a proactive personality;

(d) possess an analytical mind with good problem-solving, organisational and leadership skills;

(e) be mature and have good interpersonal and communication skills; and

(f) have good computer literacy. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
