Assistant Officer

Duties
The appointee will be assigned to the Marketing Team of the General Office. He/She will assist in the planning, development and implementation of the Department’s marketing strategy, image building, promotional activities, external affairs and public relations. He/She will be required to:
(a) draft promotional and marketing materials, including newsletters, posters, brochures, videos, website etc. in both English and Chinese;
(b) design the departmental website;
(c) manage social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, WeChat and Xiaohungshu;
(d) coordinate activities led by various student groups, including the Student Society and Student Chapters;
(e) provide logistic and onsite support to promotional and marketing activities, seminars, webinars and scholarly activities;
(f) coordinate and lead secondary school visits;
(g) handle scholarship applications;
(h) liaise with external companies for summer job vacancies; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification with at least three years of relevant work experience preferably gained in tertiary institutions;
(b) have good communication, interpersonal and organisation skills;
(c) be detail-minded with a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently;
(d) have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(e) have good computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing; and
(f) have knowledge of digital tools including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Meta Business Suite, and video editing software etc.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
