Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) facilitate and monitor the administrative processes of non-local service-learning subjects through the information management system;
(b) coordinate with the Academic Registry and subject departments to facilitate service-learning subject registration;
(c) handle enquiries from students and teachers, including but not limited to subject registration and relevant financial matters;
(d) provide secretarial support to committees and meetings;
(e) assist in planning and organising large-scale events, such as symposia and conferences;
(f) provide administrative and quality assurance support to facilitate the Office’s operations;
(g) supervise junior staff and facilitate collaborative work across functional units; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work on irregular hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree, preferably in Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Psychology or Social Science;
(b) at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience;
(c) excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, project management, computer and data analytical skills;
(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and
(e) a proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and responsibly within a team environment.
Preference will be given to those with solid subject administration and/or programme management experience in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
