Senior Specialist (Multimedia Content and Technical Support)

Duties 

The appointee will provide digital media, marketing, and technical support to the Division of Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities.  The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    devise and implement creative digital media and communication plans to enhance the online visibility and brand presence of the Division and the Faculty of Humanities;

(b)    design, produce, and edit high-quality multimedia content (including graphic, audio and video) for promotional campaigns, academic initiatives and outreach events;

(c)    act as the Webmaster of the Division’s website and oversee the management, content strategy and engagement across all social media platforms;

(d)    proactively explore, evaluate and adopt emerging AI tools and software to optimise production efficiency and innovation;

(e)    provide daily technical and IT support to ensure smooth execution of teaching, research and outreach activities, including providing on-site assistance for AV/IT equipment during lectures, hybrid seminars and conferences; 

(f)     serve as the primary liaison for technical matters, coordinating with internal IT department and external vendors for equipment procurement, system maintenance and troubleshooting; and 

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Division or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree, preferably in Media Production, Marketing, Digital Communications or Information Technology or a related discipline;

(b)    have at least five years of solid post-qualification experience, preferably within a tertiary education institution;

(c)    possess proven proficiency in professional multimedia software, such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, GarageBand, Logic Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve;

(d)    possess strong technical and IT troubleshooting skills, including hardware, software, networking basics and audio-visual setups; 

(e)    demonstrate a proactive mindset toward learning and applying modern AI tools and technologies;

(f)     have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and 

(g)    possess strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, multitask and work under pressure.

Applicants must submit a digital portfolio (or a link to an online portfolio/website) showcasing recent work in video production, audio editing and/or web development along with their application.
