Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Migration, early learning experiences, and school readiness in the AI era”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature reviews on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in early childhood and family research;
(b) assist in developing web-based platforms and AI-assisted workflows for research data collection and video analysis;
(c) assist in the preparation of research reports, manuscripts and other research materials; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Engineering or other related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) be proficient in using AI tools for programming, data analysis and model evaluation, and demonstrate sound statistical judgment;
(d) have a strong sense of responsibility, be detail-oriented, and possess good communication and problem-solving skills; and
(e) be interested in applying AI to research in child development and family support.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
