Project Assistant

[Appointment period: twelve months]

The appointee will assist the project leader in multiple youth-related research projects, with a primary focus on a school-based mental health research project - “Flourishing futures - Enhancing mental health of children through sports and arts in primary schools”.  This project is designed for primary school students and incorporate expressive arts and design thinking approach.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    conduct research activities under the supervision of the project leader;

(b)    manage day-to-day administrative duties;

(c)    carry out outreach programs in partnership with program workers when necessary; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a good honours degree with at least one year of work experience related to non-governmental organisations or community;

(b)    have a very good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Cantonese;

(c)    have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills;

(d)    have a strong sense of responsibility; and

(e)    be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with experience in mental health-related projects or collaborating with non-governmental organisations.
