Research Assistant / Project Assistant (two posts)

Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project - “‘Capacity building and Greater Bay Area collaboration for welfare sector’ project evaluation study”. They will be required to:
(a) support the project leader and the project manager in daily project operations;
(b) assist in the planning and implementation of all aspects of the project, including training and research;
(c) support the development and implementation of project and research design;
(d) assist in data management and data analysis;
(e) prepare reports, training materials, publicity materials and correspondence;
(f) liaise with internal departments, administrative units and external organisations to execute various events, activities and programmes;
(g) assist in logistics and administrative work; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
The appointees may be required to work irregular hours occasionally.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;
(b) be interested in social welfare and Greater Bay Area collaboration;
(c) have experience in assisting in large-scale projects;
(d) have proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat;
(e) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
(f) have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
(g) be highly self-motivated, result-oriented, dynamic, mature and able to work under pressure;
(h) have a passion for building and sustaining strong relationships with stakeholders; and
(i) be a good team player and able to work independently.
Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary institutions or similar organisations, and/or Greater Bay Area settings as well as a strong sense of creativity and aesthetics.
