Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)      handle confidential and sensitive matters, including but not limited to financial budgeting and human resources management;

(b)     assist with various Faculty strategic initiatives, such as student recruitment, publications and quality assurance exercises; 

(c)     provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Faculty Secretary;

(d)     provide administrative and logistical support to Faculty committees and major events;

(e)     liaise and coordinate effectively with internal and external units; and

(f)      perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty and the Faculty Secretary or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in tertiary education administration, committee servicing, or project coordination;

(b)    strong communication and interpersonal skills, sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organisational skills, and a keen attention to detail;

(c)    strong self-motivation, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities simultaneously;

(d)    a proactive working attitude with the ability to work effectively both as a team player and independently under tight timelines; and

(e)    proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing.

Preference will be given to those with solid relevant working experience in tertiary education sector.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Officer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
