Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Harnessing artificial intelligence to enhance academic positive youth development among Hong Kong secondary school students” and/or “AI-powered ecological momentary intervention for academic thriving: A pilot study among Hong Kong secondary school students”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) for positive youth development and student well-being;
(b) assist in the analyses of intensive longitudinal and experimental datasets;
(c) assist in writing research reports, manuscripts and grant proposals;
(d) assist in the development and refinement of the AI chatbot system;
(e) assist in data collection from Hong Kong secondary school students; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Computer Science or other related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;
(c) be proficient in using statistical software such as R, Mplus, SPSS, Python, etc. for quantitative analyses;
(d) be familiar with AI-powered chatbot development platforms and the Hong Kong secondary school system; and
(e) be interested in applying AI technologies to promote student well-being.
Preference will be given to those with a master’s degree and research experience.
