Research Assistant

[Appointment period: six months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Caring across cultures: Design and stakeholder evaluation of AI powered embodied conversational agents for culturally adaptive mental health support”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist in general management of the project;

(b)    assist in interviewing focus groups and analysing data;

(c)    assist in the preparation of reports, workshops and academic papers; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should: 

(a)    have an honours degree in Psychology, Sociology or other related disciplines;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese;

(c)    have good communication skills; 

(d)    be proficient in analysing qualitative data; and

(e)    be a good team player.

Preference will be given to those with experience in cross-cultural aspects, and a master’s degree.
