Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “Mapping morphological and hydrological baseline conditions of Sha Lo Tung Water Resources using remote sensing technologies”. He/She will be required to:
(a) lead the acquisition of hydrological parameters in Sha Lo Tung;
(b) lead and provide expertise advice on the hydrological modelling of Sha Lo Tung;
(c) oversee and manage the progress of the project;
(d) meet and liaise with government representatives and stakeholders;
(e) prepare progress reports; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a doctoral degree plus substantial postdoctoral research experience normally of at least eight years’ duration, high level of academic achievement and good record and reputation as a competent researcher; and
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English.
Preference will be given to those with:
(a) not less than ten years’ experiences in hydrological modelling in Hong Kong; and
(b) strong research and project management experience in hydrological modelling.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$668 per hour.
