Assistant Admissions Manager (Mainland Team)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) assist in the implementation of undergraduate student admissions and recruitment strategies; 

(b) coordinate the day-to-day execution of admissions exercises and scholarship processing, monitoring workflows to suggest efficiency improvements; 

(c) coordinate system setup and testing for admissions systems and websites; 

(d) plan, organise and travel to the Chinese Mainland for student recruitment activities and identify emerging trends to support market development; 

(e) conduct research on relevant admission and student mobility data, local educational systems, credentials and other relevant data for strategy formulation and annual review; 

(f) compile and interpret data metrics throughout the admissions cycle to support the team in in-depth analyses;

(g) liaise with internal units to update promotional materials for prospective applicants; and

(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours to participate in duty-related events/activities.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification; 

(b) have at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in student recruitment, student admissions, or student development within the higher education sector;

(c) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being essential; 

(d) be able to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team; 

(e) have a strong sense of responsibility and be capable of meeting tight deadlines; and

(f) be able to handle data-related tasks and analysis.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
