Assistant Admissions Manager (Events and Marketing Team)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) coordinate the planning and execution of recruitment events and outreach programmes; 

(b) develop event work plans, run-downs, timelines, staffing arrangements and operational checklists to support smooth implementation; 

(c) liaise with internal stakeholders, faculties, schools, service units, venues, vendors and external partners on event arrangements and follow-up actions; 

(d) support budget tracking, procurement, quotation exercises, payment processing and vendor administration for assigned events and activities; 

(e) coordinate event registration, participant communications, logistics, on-site operations, post-event surveys and reporting; 

(f) monitor progress of assigned projects and identify operational issues, proposing timely solutions to ensure quality and efficiency;

(g) compile event statistics, participation data, feedback and post-event evaluations to support review and future planning;

(h) support cross-team collaboration to ensure event messaging, participant experience and recruitment objectives are aligned; and

(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong occasionally to participate in duty-related events/activities.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification; 

(b) have at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in event management, student recruitment, or student development within the higher education sector;

(c) preferably possess experience in managing a small team; 

(d) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; 

(e) be able to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team;

(f) have a strong sense of responsibility and be capable of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines while managing multiple concurrent projects; and

(g) be able to leverage AI tools for marketing-related tasks and analysis.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
