Training Officer

Duties
The appointee will assist in the project - “Enhancing the trajectory of children and youth in residential care - Track two in foster care”. He/She will be required to:
(a) provide support to the project leader and the project manager in daily operation of the project;
(b) provide support to the curriculum design, implementation and operation of the education and training programmes and related activities of the project;
(c) liaise and collaborate with social workers and case managers of non-governmental organisations to co-create, co-design and implement programmes for foster care services;
(d) assist in the design, implementation and operation of professional training workshops for professionals such as trajectory development managers, social workers, house parents, etc.;
(e) liaise with internal departments, administrative units and external organisations to execute various events/activities and programmes; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee may occasionally be required to work irregular hours including weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of solid post-qualification experience in project management and/or programme development;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua;
(c) have good computer literacy, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat;
(d) possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
(e) have good liaison and organisational skills;
(f) be able to work independently;
(g) be highly self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work under pressure; and
(h) be dynamic and mature with the passion to build and sustain strong relationship with stakeholders.
Preference will be given to those with work experience in tertiary institutions or similar organisations, as well as those with a strong sense of creativity and aesthetics.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
