Executive Officer

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    take charge of operation of several processes pertaining to research postgraduate programmes, such as awards and scholarship schemes and/or funding schemes, course administration and graduation matters, in order to deliver the strategic priorities as advised by the management team of the School;

(b)    evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of various activities and propose enhancements to drive excellence and impact;

(c)    prepare proposals, reports and presentation materials, etc. in a professional manner;

(d)    compile and analyse statistical data and survey results to support evidence-based decision-making and reporting;

(e)    serve on committees and other working groups and/or task forces;

(f)     establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree plus at least five years of solid post-qualification work experience;

(b)    a good analytical and open mindset and be able to make prudent judgement;

(c)    strong organisational skills and a high level of computer literacy;

(d)    a high degree of self-motivation, responsibility and professionalism in managing multiple priorities;

(e)    excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

(f)     a proactive working attitude and be able to work independently as well as a good team player to gain rapport from stakeholders; and

(g)    an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and be able to communicate effectively in Putonghua.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
