Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Investigating the role of the magnocellular–dorsal system in reading Chinese: a pilot study exploring the effect of middle temporal visual area transcranial magnetic stimulation”. He/She will be required to:
(a) coordinate outbound student activities;
(b) provide administrative and logistics support to the outbound student activities;
(c) assist in community engagement initiatives;
(d) handle enquiries from staff, students and external parties; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work on shift and/or to work on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a good honours degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
(c) have good computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
(d) have good interpersonal, communication and task management skills;
(e) have team spirit and positive learning attitude; and
(f) be self-motivated, well-organised, detail-minded and able to multitask.
Preference will be given to those with relevant work experience pertinent to project coordination and/or experience gained in higher education institutions.
