Assistant Executive Officer (Research and Administration Support)

PolyU Research Institute for Education, Technology and Talents (the Institute) will be established on 1 September 2026. It will leverage PolyU’s strengths in research, innovation, knowledge transfer and interdisciplinary collaboration to provide policy insights and practical solutions in the areas of education, technology and talents.

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide support to the Institute’s research projects, such as compiling and preparing reports and proposals, and maintaining data, etc.;

(b)    provide operational support to the Institute;

(c)    assist in the preparation and execution of the Institute’s events and activities;

(d)    support the development of promotional materials, website management, and the production of publicity materials;  

(e)    provide technical support to the Institute; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least three years of relevant work experience; 

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua;

(c)    possess good computer literacy, preferably with knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other multimedia software; 

(d)    be proactive and self-motivated with good interpersonal, communication and time management skills; 

(e)    be well-organised and attentive to details; and

(f)     be able to work independently.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
