Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Neural mechanisms of congruent and incongruent audiovisual speech integration: A MEG and fMRI study”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist with participant recruitment, communication, and coordination;
(b) assist with designing, setting up and conducting experiments;
(c) assist with data collection, organisation, and dataset development;
(d) assist with the analysis of behavioural, eye-tracking, and/or EEG data; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a good honours degree or an equivalent qualification in Linguistics, Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline;
(b) have a strong interest in experimental linguistics;
(c) have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese being a significant advantage;
(d) demonstrate patience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team, with experience in conducting experiments with children preferred; and
(e) be proficient in at least one of the following programming languages or software packages: R, Python, or MATLAB.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
