Established in 1977, the School of Nursing supports the mission of the University by nurturing graduates who are critical thinkers, effective communicators, innovative problem solvers, lifelong learners and ethical leaders. It ranks 18th for the best School of Nursing internationally (QS Ranking 2026). The education, research, consultancy and integrative health services are driven by a commitment to improve health of the community. Currently, it has a total of around 80 full-time faculty members. We welcome candidates from all nursing disciplines, including critical care, mental health, as well as prevention and infection control.
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) supervise clinical projects and clinical practicum at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(b) teach pre-registration nursing programmes and supervise students in clinical/field studies;
(c) coordinate student clinical placement with local, national and overseas healthcare agencies;
(d) act as student advisor and counsellor; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a relevant master’s degree plus not less than three years of post-qualification/post-registration clinical experience in local hospitals;
(b) a Certificate of Registration (Part I and/or II) issued by The Nursing Board/Council of Hong Kong;
(c) a valid practising certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong; and
(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
