Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Evaluating the impact of the Vera Desai-Pickers Link on social exclusion and self-concept of older informal pickers. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in research activities;
(b) conduct interviews and transcribe them into English;
(c) assist in data analysis and dissemination; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree, preferably in Social Work, Education or other related disciplines or an equivalent qualification;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua;
(c) experience and/or great interest in social work education and training, in particular on group work and community development; and
(d) experience and/or great interest in working with older people.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
