Duties

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    provide support to networking events, campus visits, seminars, etc., to engage the University’s stakeholders, partners, friends and supporters from different Mainland sectors;

(b)    provide administrative support to the development of PolyU in Greater Bay Area and other strategic regions;

(c)    liaise with partners in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong for networking and facilitation of programme/project execution;

(d)    liaise with internal units and external organisations for organising relevant activities/projects; 

(e)    assist in providing secretarial support to committees and working groups, including the preparation of proposals and reports; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland Development or his/her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong for the purposes of attending meetings and providing support to projects/activities/events.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least five years’ relevant post-qualification work experience;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is a must;

(c)    have good organisational skill and problem-solving ability;

(d)    be well-organised and attentive to details; and

(e)    be a good team player and able to work independently and proactively.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
