Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist in planning and delivering collaborative activities and projects with stakeholders in the University and external partners to strengthen sense of belonging and advance institutional development of alumni in the Chinese Mainland;
(b) coordinate networking gatherings, campus tours, seminars and other outreach programmes to engage cross-sector partners and supporters in the Chinese Mainland;
(c) provide secretarial and administrative support including event coordination to alumni associations in the Chinese Mainland;
(d) provide secretarial support to committees and working groups, including drafting of proposals and preparation of reports;
(e) support the production of promotional collaterals and publications, as well as regular maintenance of websites and social media channels to sustain communications with alumni and key stakeholders;
(f) coordinate the end-to-end project rollout to ensure all programmes are implemented in line with agreed plans; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland Development or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong for the purposes of attending meetings and providing support to projects/activities/events.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree plus at least five years of relevant post-qualification administrative experience, preferably with solid experience in project management, alumni network liaison and full-cycle event delivery, as well as practical knowledge of digital platform management and cross-stakeholder collaboration;
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;
(c) have good organisational skill and problem-solving ability;
(d) be well-organised and attentive to details; and
(e) be a good team player and be able to work independently and proactively.
Preference will be given to those with prior experience in higher education institutions and Mainland institutional collaboration. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
