Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research projects - “Age-friendly business recognition and capacity building programme”, “Enhancement of age-friendly business recognition and capacity building programme“, “Enhancement of empowering an inclusive, age-friendly silver economy in Hong Kong: From longitudinal evidence to intergenerational, multi-stakeholder action”, “Advancing health and well-being through family-integrated, AI-enhanced social work approaches: A PolyU-HUST collaborative research initiative” and/or “Research centre for gerontology and family studies”. They will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review, research and evaluation studies for the project(s);
(b) be responsible for or assist in longitudinal dataset management, statistical analysis and report writing;
(c) prepare funding applications, budgets, manuals and publicity materials;
(d) support academic activities of the Research Centre for Gerontology and Family Studies; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a master’s degree, preferably in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis, Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences, Gerontology, Social Work or a good honours degree in one of the said disciplines with at least three years of research/relevant work experience; and
(b) strong proficiency in using statistical software, such as SPSS and STATA.
