Assistant Officer

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support to academic programmes, including student recruitment and admission, marketing initiatives, enrichment activities, and student records management;
(b) assist in planning and execution of student orientation, development workshops, exchange activities, study trips, and other student engagement activities;
(c) handle daily student inquiries, manage the reception counter, provide support in office management and daily operations of the General Office;
(d) liaise with the University's internal departments, external organisations, students and alumni, and handle enquiries; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification, with at least three years of post-qualification work experience;
(b) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) good communication and hands-on computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Chinese word processing;
(d) strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
(e) a positive working attitude and the ability to work well as a team player; and
(f) strong self-motivation, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently.
Preference will be given to those with relevant solid experience in tertiary education sector.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
