Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “Designing AI for design: An exploratory study of the teaching infrastructures and pedagogical models with AI in future design education”. They will be required to:
(a) support the overall research design and execution of the project, focusing on AI-supported design processes and their impact on design education;
(b) assist in building and maintaining the project’s research platform, including content coordination, system maintenance and support for experimental workflows such as data collection and evaluation;
(c) design and conduct empirical studies, analyse quantitative and qualitative data and prepare research reports;
(d) provide guidance and support to students and research participants in working with the research platform; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;
(b) substantial research experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including empirical study design, statistical modelling and the interpretation of complex datasets;
(c) a strong interest in design processes, technology adoption, and user-oriented research, ideally with exposure to human-computer interaction; and
(d) the ability to work effectively as part of the team.
Preference will be given to those who have proven research record and publications in the relevant fields.
