Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project – “DataGuard-MMRAG: A dual-layer framework for data integrity and IP protection in multimodal retrieval-augmented generation”. He/She will be required to:
(a) lead the technical development of the DataGuard-MMRAG framework, with a focus on novel watermarking, attribution, or inference-based protection mechanisms for multimodal retrieval-augmented generation (RAG);
(b) design and conduct rigorous experiments to validate the framework's effectiveness in preserving data integrity and detecting IP infringement;
(c) publish high-quality research outcomes in top-tier conferences/journals (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, CCS);
(d) contribute to grant writing and preparation of project reports for funding bodies; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Head of Unit or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline awarded within the past three years and must have no more than five years of post-qualification experience at the time of application;
(b) a strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML/NLP/CV/security conferences or journals;
(c) deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: RAG, multimodal learning, model watermarking, data provenance or AI security/privacy;
(d) proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch);
(e) experience in large-scale model training and evaluation;
(f) excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with demonstrated ability to publish and present research; and
(g) ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
