Assistant Officer

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide logistic and administrative support for the operation of the STEM Internship Scheme, mentorship programmes, workshops and various career development programmes and events;

(b)    handle enquiries from internal units, external employers, partners and students; 

(c)    assist in financial processes, including document verifications and allowance reimbursement;

(d)    maintain databases, assist in compiling and analysing statistical data, and draft reports; 

(e)    assist in supervising student assistants; 

(f)     prepare promotional materials for various career development programmes and events; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.

The appointee will be required to work during non-office hours if necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree, preferably in Human Resources, Marketing or a related discipline;

(b)    have at least two years of work experience, preferably in working with university students;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d)    have strong interpersonal and presentation skills as well as interest in student development; and

(e)    be a strong team player with a high level of flexibility and be result-oriented.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
