Project Associate

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Centre for leadership and innovation” to support the Director of Centre for Leadership and Innovation (CLI) in managing centre operations, developing industry partnerships and coordinating research-to-impact projects. He/she will report directly to the Director of CLI and will be required to:
(a) manage day-to-day centre operations, including budgeting, procurement and compliance with departmental reporting requirements;
(b) plan and execute CLI events, workshops, and roundtables for academic and industry audiences;
(c) identify and cultivate relationships with corporate partners to facilitate consultancy engagements and field research collaborations;
(d) coordinate the development of teaching cases by liaising with academic staff, industry contacts and case writers;
(e) support the preparation and submission of applications for external funding, including government grants and research impact funds;
(f) track project milestones, expenditure and outcomes, and prepare annual reports for the Departmental Research Committee and Head of Department; and
(g) assist in the dissemination of CLI research outputs through digital channels, executive education materials and media engagement.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a master’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, Psychology, Economics, or other related disciplines or a good honours degree in the abovementioned disciplines with at least three years of research or relevant work experience in a university research centre, consultancy firm, or corporate strategy function;
(b) have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines;
(c) have a strong command of both written and spoken English, preferably with proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua; and
(d) preferably have experience in grant writing or external funding acquisition.
