Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Lexical-semantic organisation across development: Behavioural and neuroimaging perspectives”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in recruiting child participants and build a child participant database;
(b) assist in building an fNIRS study protocol for child research;
(c) develop a study program that probes lexical-semantic organisation in children;
(d) work on data collection and organisation;
(e) work on developing programming scripts to analyse fNIRS data; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a good honours degree or a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in Psychology, Linguistics, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or a related field;
(b) be highly proficient in Cantonese and English;
(c) have hands-on experience with programming and/or statistical analysis (e.g., R, Python);
(d) have an interest in developmental cognitive neuroscience; and
(e) have experience working with children.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
