Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide support for residential admissions and room assignments of the Student Halls of Residence under Student Resources and Support Section;
(b) maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records;
(c) support delivery of programmes / services / activities;
(d) process data and compile statistics;
(e) prepare publicity materials;
(f) liaise with the wardens / tutors / students in relation to the logistics support to hall programmes and function room bookings;
(g) liaise with the suppliers of property management service for routine matters;
(h) provide logistics support to events / activities of the Office / Section; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates.
The appointee will be required to work during non-office hours if necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) five passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics;
(b) some relevant administrative experience, preferably gained from education sector;
(c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(d) proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel and Chinese word processing; and
(e) good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
