Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    assist and support in the management and implementation of collaborative events, programmes and activities;

(b)    assist in liaising with academic and research communities, industries and various stakeholders to enable effective implementation of projects and initiatives set forth by the Office;

(c)    assist in planning, organising, coordinating and implementing events, meetings, seminars, workshops, projects and various marketing activities as well as maintaining website of the Office;

(d)    assist in technical writing duties, such as editorial work, preparation and production of promotional materials, website contents, newsletters and reports; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.

The appointee will be required to travel to the Chinese Mainland and overseas occasionally.

Qualification

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree;

(b)    have at least three years of relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in event organisation and project execution;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

(d)    have good interpersonal and communication skills; and

(e)    be highly motivated, results-oriented and able to work well under pressure.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
