Assistant Officer (Open Educational Resources & Outstanding Work by Students) (Temporary Appointment)

[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties 

The appointee will work with a team of Library colleagues and will be required to:  

(a)    develop captivating content for the Library’s Outstanding Work by Students (OWS) website, including the production of OWS interview videos and posters and managing the OWS Showcase;

(b)    execute comprehensive non-digital and digital marketing strategies to raise awareness for the OWS projects and Library’s Open Educational Resources Portal on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn; and

(c)    perform any other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a)    a recognised degree or a recognised certificate or diploma or an equivalent qualification plus not less than three years of relevant experience, preferably in the educational sector or publicity and marketing field; 

(b)    high proficiency in both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua);

(c)    solid knowledge and experience in design software applications, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Canva, with the skills to integrate AI tools in design workflow;

(d)    self-motivation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and

(e)    competence to multitask and ability to work independently and as a good team member.

Preferences will be given to candidates with a proven track record in programme publicity work.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
