Duties

The appointee will be required to: 

(a)    engage in teaching in Aviation related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;

(b)    involve in the development of subject curriculum and overall teaching and learning approach as well as in subject administration;

(c)    serve as an external liaison with industry partners; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should:

(a)    have a PhD degree in Aviation Safety, Aviation Engineering, or a relevant first degree plus a higher degree in the said disciplines or a relevant discipline with at least three years of post-qualification tertiary teaching/professional/industrial experience;

(b)    be able to deliver pilot ground theory related subjects; 

(c)    be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in facilitating learning and development;

(d)    have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to use English as the medium of instruction; and

(e)    be familiar with engineering industry.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
