Optometrist

Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide clinical teaching and patient care;
(b) participate in clinical projects in optometry;
(c) participate in the community vision care activities of the School; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee will be required to work on shift and/or on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in Optometry;
(b) possess optometry qualifications registrable with the Optometrists Board in the HKSAR; and
(c) have at least five years of experience in primary eye care in a professional setting.
Outstanding candidates with less than five years of clinical experience, or who have completed a recognised optometry residency programme lasting for two years may also be considered.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
