Project Associate / Project Assistant (two posts)

[Appointment period: each for twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties

The appointees will assist the project leader in the project – “Dissemination and promotion of innovations and good practices”.  They will be required to:  

(a)    conduct impact studies on teaching interventions, contributing to literature review, study design, data collection and analysis, and writing up findings;

(b)    collect and compile examples of innovations and good practices in learning, teaching and assessment;

(c)    support the production of dissemination and promotion materials, including but not limited to texts, infographics, videos, and websites;

(d)    liaise with relevant parties and support the organisation of dissemination and promotion activities and events;

(e)    manage the logistic and administrative work of the project, including drafting reports; and

(f)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Educational Development/the project leader or their delegate(s).

Qualifications

For the post of Project Associate, applicants should have a master’s degree or a good honours degree, preferably in English, Education, or a related discipline, with three or more years of research/relevant work experience. 

For the post of Project Assistant, applicants should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification in the above-mentioned discipline.

For both posts, applicants should also have:

(a)    experience in conducting educational research and evaluation studies, preferably in a higher education setting;

(b)    knowledge of and skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, using relevant software such as SPSS, MaxQDA, and NVivo;

(c)    an excellent command of spoken and written English;

(d)    good IT skills, including proficiency in common office applications and online publishing software;

(e)    good communication and interpersonal skills; and

(f)     a proactive, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently.

Preference will be given to those with experience in multimedia production (e.g. video, website, desktop publication), teaching and educational administration, and research-based educational or teaching development projects related to GenAI in higher education.
