Assistant Officer

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    provide a full spectrum of administrative support to the Office including but not limited to data entry, record-keeping, system administration for the online booking payment and user records, purchasing and receiving goods, as well as inventory management of equipment and facilities;

(b)    manage and coordinate events, activities, meetings and visits;

(c)    provide administrative and secretarial support to meetings and committees;

(d)    maintain and provide operational support to different systems, and assist in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the related system enhancements;

(e)    assist in administering research projects in the project management system; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should: 

(a)    have a recognised degree with at least three years of post-qualification work experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions;

(b)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being a definite asset;

(c)    have good computer literacy, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Zoom;

(d)    have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;

(e)    be detail-minded, able to work independently and capable of multitasking; and

(f)    be an active team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
