Part-time Research Assistant

Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “ACT Dad’s Power: A feasibility randomized controlled trial of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for fathers of children with special needs in improving their psychological flexibility and mental health”. He/She will be required to:
(a) assist in the planning, development and production of immersive digital content for the Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (“CAVE”), including concept development, storyboarding, filming, editing, rendering and post-production work;
(b) perform media and production management, including the organisation and maintenance of digital assets, video footage, project files and technical records;
(c) assist in the preparation, testing and optimisation of multi-channel video outputs and related technical materials for the CAVE system;
(d) support the documentation of project processes and outputs, and assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and other dissemination materials; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification; and
(b) substantial relevant work experience in immersive video production, CAVE content creation, multi-channel video production, or related digital media projects.
Preference will be given to those with (i) solid hands-on experience in CAVE video making, including planning, filming, editing, rendering and post-production; (ii) experience in producing content for multi-screen, projection-based, immersive or spatial media environments; (iii) good technical knowledge of relevant software and platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, or equivalent tools; (iv) experience in video shooting, compositing, colour correction, motion graphics, 3D visualisation, animation, or immersive media workflows; (v) the ability to manage production files, media assets and technical documentation in an organised manner; and (vi) good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Conditions of Service
The remuneration rate is HK$125 per hour.
