[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties 

The appointee will work under the Branding and Marketing Division of the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office (KTEO) and be required to:

(a)    lead and manage the preparation and execution of key events, such as exhibitions, ceremonies, conferences and industry showcases, to support PolyVentures and related initiatives;

(b)    oversee and implement social media strategies through content creation, posting, advertisement boosting, and effective deployment for the social media platforms in the Office, including WeChat, REDNote, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, to ensure alignment with the branding of PolyVentures;

(c)    coordinate and guide the production, content quality and consistency of promotional and publicity materials to enhance awareness of the University’s entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer initiatives;

(d)    provide support in the design and preparation of presentations, including PPTs, to ensure clarity and impact in delivering key messages; 

(e)    collaborate with in-house and external designers on publication cover concepts, layout design, branding alignment and overall production to maintain high-quality and professional standards;

(f)     engage with internal and external stakeholders, including academics, startups, students and industry members, to promote collaboration and advance entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer goals; and

(g)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.

Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a recognised degree in a related discipline;

(b)    have at least eight years of relevant post-qualification working experience, with some experiences in large-scale event management and social media marketing;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;

(d)    be a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and project management skills; and

(e)    be highly motivated and willing to work under tight schedules with positive working attitude.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
